Join artists from the UKCCA who will deliver Carnival inspired workshops during the Summer holidays.

Golden Community Tree Carnival Headdress Workshop
Participants will create a nature-inspired carnival headpiece celebrating community, growth and belonging. Using collage techniques, they will carefully cut and attach gold leaf shapes to a prepared tree template while exploring pattern, colour and composition.
Each participant will produce an individual golden tree headdress inspired by community connections, nature and environmental beauty.

Carnival Headdress workshop -150 Years of Luton Town Growth
Participants will celebrate Luton's rich heritage through carnival arts by designing colourful headdresses inspired by local landmarks including the Hat Factory, St Mary's Church and Luton Town Hall. They may also create their own imaginative houses and neighbourhoods.
Participants will create collaborative carnival headpieces celebrating Luton's architecture, culture and community history.

Gold Medal Making
Participants will celebrate community champions by designing personalised medals and carnival headpieces recognising kindness, leadership, participation and positive contributions to their community.
Creative carnival crowns and medals decorated with vibrant colours and textures.

Flag Making Workshop- Flags of Our Community
Participants will explore identity, family traditions and cultural heritage by designing colourful flags representing themselves, their families and the communities they belong to.
Personalised carnival flags forming a collaborative community installation.

Carnival Headdress workshop - Football & Team Spirit will be created.
Participants will create football-inspired carnival headpieces celebrating teamwork, sport and international cultures through colourful World Cup-themed designs featuring footballs, trophies and national colours.

Carnival Headdress and crowns workshop - Golden Masks & Crowns
Participants will conclude the programme by creating elaborate carnival masks and crowns inspired by celebration, achievement and creativity. Using collage and embellishment techniques, they will produce wearable carnival art to showcase in a final parade and exhibition.
Decorative carnival crowns and masks inspired by traditional carnival celebrations will be created.
