Duty Manager (Part‑Time)

Salary: £27,254 per annum, pro rata

Recruiting for multiple roles: 1 post at 18.5 hours per week & 2 posts at 12 hours per week.

 

Mainly evenings and weekends (various shifts)

 

About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity within the Commercial and Operations team to join Culture Trust as a Duty Manager. We are recruiting three part‑time Duty Managers to support the Head of Commercial Operations and Head of Operations in the day‑to‑day delivery of a high‑quality front‑of‑house and commercial service across Culture Trust venues.

 

As Duty Manager, you will be the lead operational contact during your shift, responsible for supervising front‑line staff and ensuring the venue operates safely, efficiently and to a high standard at all times. 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for staff, customers, hirers and users of the facilities
  • Lead and supervise front‑of‑house, bar and catering teams during assigned shifts
  • Ensure excellent customer care and outstanding customer satisfaction at all times
  • Maintain high standards of health, safety and wellbeing for staff, customers and visitors
  • Respond to and manage technical, building and operational issues as they arise
  • Support the delivery of agreed KPIs in line with the business plan
  • Work across Culture Trust sites when required to meet business needs

About You

  • You have experience working in a customer‑facing, commercial or hospitality environment
  • You are confident supervising staff and making operational decisions during live service
  • You remain calm, professional and solutions‑focused under pressure
  • You have a strong commitment to excellent customer service
  • You are fluent in spoken and written English (this is a public‑facing role)
  • You are flexible and able to work evenings and weekends

Experience of supervising bar, catering or front‑of‑house services is desirable.

Casual Customer Service Assistant

£12.85 per hour – Casual 

About the role

We’re looking for enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our Commercial and Operations team. As a Casual Customer Service Assistant, you’ll support our museums, arts centre, and creative venues by helping to ensure our cafés, events, and public spaces run smoothly and professionally, as and when required.

Your role will include maintaining clean, safe, and welcoming environments, and supporting the delivery of high‑quality refreshments to visitors, staff, and corporate clients. Above all, you’ll provide outstanding customer service and help create a positive experience for everyone who walks through our doors.

About you

We’d love to hear from you if:

  • You have a passion for great customer service and enjoy working in a catering or hospitality environment
  • You have experience engaging with customers in a friendly and professional manner
  • You’re flexible and able to work evenings and weekends when needed
  • You’re happy to work across various Culture Trust sites
