The Garden Café will be re-opening from Thursday 6th August, with new opening hours: 11am-5pm, Thursday to Sunday. Things may be a little different…
We are offering a limited menu with new takeaway options available – think cream teas and picnics to enjoy in the sunshine! See what’s available here.
For the time being you can still order at the counter - there are screens in place to help with social distancing, but we hope to introduce a new way to order online in the next couple of weeks - so watch this space!
You can still sit inside the café to enjoy your food, however we have limited the seating, but there will be plenty of seating outside for you to choose from. We ask you do not move any of the tables or seating as they have been laid out specifically for social distancing.
We only accept card in the café at the moment.
More about The Garden Café - for now things are little different, but this is what can expect in the future.
A café that cares. Serving up delicious homegrown food at Stockwood Discovery Centre.
Here at the Garden café we take pride in serving up classic dishes and light bites using the finest ingredients from local suppliers, as well fresh produce grown here in our own gardens.
Our hard-working gardeners grow Victorian heritage vegetables, directly inspired by Stockwood’s history, including Golden Sunrise Tomatoes, Crystal Lemon Cucumbers, Golden Ball Turnips and Bedford Fillbasket Brussel Sprouts! Absolutely delicious, even the sprouts… seriously!
But we’re also looking to the future too. We’ve designed our very own app, making food ordering even simpler and quicker. Just search The Garden Café via your chosen app store and get ordering!
We also do have Halal options available – however we are not a Halal venue. Please speak to a member of our café staff for more details.
We care about our staff, our customers and our environment. We’re committed to reducing our carbon footprint by eliminating packaging and plastics wherever possible, recycling widely, composting as much as we can (even down to our coffee grounds!) and sourcing ethical products.
We support local growers and producers by buying locally wherever we can. But we don’t stop there; we actively seek out suppliers who mirror our values, ethical, environmentally friendly and nutritionally sound. Our meat is supplied by Woburn Country Foods, our bread is freshly baked by Prudens in Markyate and we get our milk from Eggington Dairies in Leighton Buzzard.
Stockwood Discovery Centre car park is big and it’s free!
We’re approximately 1.5 miles away from both Luton and Luton Airport Parkway. If you don’t fancy the walk, a taxi rank is located directly outside Luton Station.
Take the 321 from Luton Town Centre, Church Street, Stop C9.
