An evening to savour the nuances of Odissi dance performed by some of its most accomplished exponents. The performance will weave a tapestry of the strands that have shaped the form – sacred ritual, regional practices, dramatic retellings of myths and legends.
The programme unfolds as a series of interconnected moments- each performance illuminating how Odissi has been remembered, reconfigured, and re-presented over time. Central to this journey is Odisha itself: its temple culture, its visual arts, its philosophical traditions, and its artists who across generations, have shaped the form we now recognise on the global stage.
