Planning your visit
How much are tickets?
Tickets prices are from £10 (inc. booking fee). You can book your tickets online through our official website at www.culturetrust.com/stockwoodilluminated26 or call our box office at 01582 878100. Only card payments are accepted.
How long does it take?
We'll announce the official length and time in the coming weeks. In previous years, visitors took anywhere between 45 minutes to 1 hour to cover the full grounds, leaving plenty of time for all the photo opportunities.
What age is it suitable for?
Stockwood Illuminated is designed to be enjoyed by the whole family, so it is suitable for all ages. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Will older children/teenagers enjoy it?
Absolutely. While Stockwood Illuminated is designed to be enjoyed by the whole family, it isn’t just for younger children. The illuminated trail offers plenty of impressive light displays, immersive areas and photo opportunities that older children and teenagers can enjoy too.
The Christmas Village also gives visitors somewhere to grab food, spend time together and make an evening of it.
Can I arrive earlier/later than our booked time?
We recommend arriving at your booked time slot to help us manage visitor numbers and ensure everyone has the best experience.
If you arrive early, you may be asked to wait until your allocated entry time. If you're running late, we'll do our best to accommodate you, but entry cannot always be guaranteed.
Please allow plenty of time for your journey and arrive ready to enjoy the experience!
Getting here & getting around
Where do I park?
There is free parking available at Stockwood Discovery Centre.
Our main car park is accessed via the London Road entrance to Stockwood Park (LU1 4LX).
If the main car park is full, alternative parking is available via the Farley Hill entrance to Stockwood Park (LU1 4BH), where you can use the Central and Pavilion car parks.
Please allow plenty of time to park and make your way to the entrance, particularly during busy sessions.
Can I bring a buggy?
All Stockwood Illuminated paths are wheelchair accessible. Please call Stockwood Discovery Centre (Wed - Sun, 11am - 5pm) on 01582 548600 if you have any concerns, and during the event our staff will be located all around the trail, in case there's any need for assistance.
Is it wheelchair accessible?
Stockwood Discovery Centre offers a range of facilities including toilets, a café, and a gift shop. Our galleries will be closed during the event times.
The centre is fully accessible with wheelchair-friendly pathways and level access to most areas. Visitors with mobility impairments can borrow wheelchairs or electric mobility scooters. Please call Stockwood Discovery Centre (Wed - Sun, 11am - 5pm) on 01582 548600 to book a wheelchair or a mobility scooter to ensure availability.

What happens if it rains?
Stockwood Illuminated is scheduled to proceed as planned, undeterred by cold or rain. Our dedicated team will monitor weather conditions, and in the rare event of any changes, you will be promptly notified.
What should I wear?
Stockwood Illuminated is an outdoor experience, so we recommend dressing warmly and appropriately for the weather.
Wrap up warm, wear comfortable footwear and don’t forget a waterproof coat if rain is forecast. The trail takes place across the gardens and outdoor areas at Stockwood Discovery Centre, so sensible shoes are recommended.
Most importantly, dress for a festive winter evening and enjoy the lights!
Is there food and hot drink available?
Yes, The Garden Café will be open to provide you with a selection of soft, fizzy and alcoholic drinks, alongside festive staples such as hot chocolate and mulled wine. Plus, this year's food partner for our Christmas Village is Street Food Heroes and we are delighted to present in partnerhship with them:

Is there somewhere indoors to warm up?
Yes! There will be indoor spaces available at Stockwood Illuminated where you can take a break from the cold and warm up.
You can also visit the Christmas Village, where there will be plenty of festive food and drink available to enjoy throughout your visit.
Do babies/under-5s need tickets?
Yes, all visitors, including children under 5, will need a ticket to attend Stockwood Illuminated. However, children (babes-in-arms) under 2 go free.
