Bursting with warm-hearted humour and witty wordplay, Jude takes the audience on a mind-bending journey through the sounds of language and the language of sounds.

There is lots of joy, a healthy dose of nonsense, and a few heartfelt A rhymes, noises, songs, surprises and lots of audience interaction. Noise Annoys is a poetry show for all the senses! It features “ moments of beautiful hush.

Using poems, rhymes and tongue-twisters, with physical humour, improvised sounds and hilarious props, Jude finds the annoyance and delight in the things we hear. This is a show that will engage children with the spoken and written word, and leave them full of joy at the possibilities of language.

A Noise Annoys was first performed and developed at Cambridge Junction Theatre, and is supported by the 'Key Seeds' programme at Peterborough Key Theatre (Landmark Theatres) where the tour launched on 3 and 4 May 2025.
