Hat Factory Arts Centre Café Tender Brief.
The Culture Trust , Luton invites tenders for an exciting opportunity to create a new daytime offer in the Hat Factory Arts Centre café. Open 9.00am – 5.00pm this shall be a new type of destination for food and drink, right in the heart of Luton. Situated on the main thoroughfare between Luton central train station and the town centre the Hat Factory Arts Centre is in a prime location with an estimated daily footfall in excess of 8k. The food and beverage offer will compliment and respond to the year-round programme of activity presented in the Hat Factory Arts Centre. This is an enticing time to invest in Luton with the imminent construction of The Stage and Luton Town’s new stadium at Power Court.

About the Job:
Do you have experience of providing financial and administrative support to an organisation. We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Administrator to work within the Finance Team to maintain the purchase ledger, manage the purchase ordering system and assist with the sales ledger function of the Trust, as well as assist with other monthly finance and admin processes and purchasing.
About you:
You will have experience of working with purchase and sales ledgers, using Sage or a similar accounting package, data entry and reconciliation. A good knowledge of Microsoft Excel is essential along with excellent administration and numeracy skills.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience for someone studying for an accounting qualification.

About the Job
Do you have experience in delivering technical support for live events, exhibitions, and cultural programmes? Are you confident working with lighting, sound, AV and stage equipment? We are looking for a Deputy Arts & Technical Production Coordinator to support the Culture Trust’s arts and cultural programme across all sites in Luton.
You will be responsible for operating and maintaining technical equipment, ensuring safe working practices, supporting get-ins and get-outs, and contributing to the high-quality technical delivery of exhibitions and live events. This is a varied, hands-on role, working both indoors and outdoors at our venues and public spaces.
About You
You will have experience working in a technical production environment, operating venue lighting, sound, and AV systems. You will be confident working with artists, technicians, and the public, and capable of supporting freelance and casual crew.
You’ll have good practical knowledge of health and safety, risk assessments, and safe systems of work. You’ll also bring strong organisational and communication skills, and be comfortable with manual handling and equipment transport between sites.
We are especially keen to hear from candidates who are underrepresented in technical and cultural roles and are passionate about supporting Luton’s diverse creative scene.

Do you have experience in a customer facing role, including excellent communication skills and able to deal politely and positively with a wide range of people and answering enquiries? If yes, we want to hear from you.
We have an exciting role where you will provide a vibrant and high quality customer service by undertaking a wide range of duties in a proactive, friendly and positive manner. Provide information and support to users and ensure all Trust venues are safe, secure and well presented.
In this vital role, you’ll undertake financial procedures including operating a till and ticket booking system, following procedures in accordance with the Trust’s financial regulations. You’ll also undertake clerical procedures including inputting data to maintain accurate records, taking into account Data Protection legislation.
This opportunity will be based across our museums and art centre sites on a variable shift rota and will include evenings and weekends.
About You:
This is a public facing role so you’ll need to demonstrate your fluency in spoken and written English.
So if you have good customer service skills, as well as good ICT skills, with the ability to manage emails, use the internet and have a good working knowledge of Microsoft packages and able to work effectively as part of a team in a busy environment; we look forward to receiving your application.
