Footprint Youth Dance Company

AAROHI HIP HOP | A NEW Luton based Youth Dance Company by Pagrav Dance Co

Do you enjoy performing? Are you keen to be part of a youth dance company? Join Pagrav Dance Company and dance artist Astha Desai to get a taste of their new Youth Dance Company that combines the Indian classical dance of Kathak with Hip Hop.

During this one day taster workshop, you will learn movements from Kathak and Hip Hop dance styles, experimenting with and blending the two forms together. You will learn and develop a short piece of choreography before closing the session with some freestyle movement to showcase your own unique style.

Astha Desai
With over two decades of dance experience, including 14 years of training in Kathak, Astha Desai has explored a diverse range of styles such Hip Hop and Breakdance whilst performing across the UK and engaging in dance battles. Combining training in Kathak and other styles, Astha's aim is to develop new dance vocabulary that pushes boundaries and inspires creativity. She has been fortunate enough to have benefited from the transformative power of youth dance groups myself and is dedicated to fostering a supportive space where young dancers can fearlessly express themselves.

Some notes: Please provide your child with a packed lunch and wear comfortable clothes (be aware we will be dancing in bare feet)
