Clay Club: Make Ya’ Own Mug!

Join us in the community event space at The Hat Factory Arts Centre for a fun-filled and family friendly ceramics workshop learning how to create your very own mugs! 

The session will begin with a demonstration talking you through the process of creating your own mug using various hand-building techniques so please do arrive on time so as not to miss it! 

All the clay and equipment required will be provided - just bring yourselves, an experimental attitude and some clothes you don’t mind getting a little mucky! 

This workshop is a manageable yet challenging project for all ages to get to grips with clay while creating some functional wares for your morning cup of tea! You can be more or less ambitious depending on your design and embellishments so come and get creative!

You will have local ceramicists Faye Munroe and Snail Adams on hand to help you with building your mugs and ensuring they are kiln-worthy.

After the event we'll take your creations to get fired in a kiln, where they'll become a lot stronger and long-lasting! 

Please allow 4 - 6 weeks for works to be fired and ready for collection! - keep an eye on your emails for updates - we will only hold your work for 2 months from the workshop, if not collected by then we will have to repurpose and rehome wares so please come back for your work!
