A celebration of Storytelling!

Come and immerse yourself in a day a storytelling!

This exclusive event showcases five short-stories that have been created and developed by local children and young people, and then crafted into complete stories by nationally renowned authors.

Performed by local actors Adeyinka Akinrinade and Aaron Spendelow, this event will celebrate these amazing efforts, bringing the imaginations of all the young people who took part in this project to life.

Special workshop sessions run by local creatives took place across Luton in two schools, Marsh House and TOKKO throughout February and March 2024. The workshops enabled the children and young people to talk about books, shows and films they love and the inspiration for stories, throw their own ideas around and develop key elements of their own collaborative story. These were then transformed into complete short-stories by our collaborative authors.

There are two sessions, morning and afternoon and you are welcome to attend both. Stories by pupils from Richmond Hill and Woodlands School, any by CHUMS young carers will be read in the morning session, with the two stories by Eli and Jasia's, and Tokko Youth Space group in the afternoon.
