Panacea: Meet the Artists

Meet the Artists behind the current exhibition at The Hat Factory Arts Centre, Panacea.

  • Irena Gil is a photographer and conceptual artist based in Dunstable. Irena’s work has been exhibited in Luton and Glasgow, and she was recently awarded an Honourable Mention in the International Photography Awards.
     
  • Armindo De Matos worked as a Motor Engineer for 27 years before relocating to England where he completed a Bachelor’s degree in photography at the University of Bedfordshire. Armindo’s technical background allows him to perceive things in new ways, which are incorporated into his work. His passion for varied patterns and textures is visible in his images, lending them a distinct character.
     
  • Hugh Kuberski is a fine art and editorial photographer. Hugh is best known for his ability to tell a cinematic story using just one frame. Hugh graduated from The University of Bedfordshire with a Bachelor’s degree in photography and is currently studying an MA in the same subject at Middlesex.
