Music In The Museum: May
zerOclassikal presents an afternoon of South Asian classical ragas performed live in the stunning Victorian-era Drawing Room at Wardown House, Museum and Gallery.
Vivek Dinesh is an emerging violinist and Carnatic vocalist based in London. He has performed as a violinist alongside prolific musicians Sri Sikkil Gurucharan, Sri Patri Satish Kumar, Sri B.S. Purushottam and Sri J. Vaidhyanathan. He has also performed with artists Srirangam Venkata Nagarajan, Dr. Adesh Sundaresan and Sri. T.N. Arunagiri among others. Beyond Carnatic music, Vivek is also a Western classical violinist. Having performed at the royal Albert Hall, Birmingham Symphony Hall, Wigmore Hall and more, Vivek studies at the Royal College of Music on a full scholarship. Vivek recently won a prize at the Postacchini International Violin Competition, in Italy. Vivek has also performed with zerOclassikal at Mehfil-e-Rose Hill in Brighton as well as Brunel University of London’s Lunchtime Concert series.
Sriram Shriananda performed his Mridangam arangetram in January 2011 at the age of 13. Following his arangetram, Sriram has accompanied many young artists in the UK at their vocal, Veena and Bharatanatyam arangetrams and participated in a variety of Carnatic concerts. More recently, Sriram has performed at the Darbar Festival. He has previously worked with zerOclassikal on a variety of performances, including Back to the Lounge, Music in the Museum and Free Flow Classikal.
