The Mother Monologues: Resisting Austerity

A work in progress showing a series of monologues which will form their verbatim piece next March in celebration of International Women's Day. The piece has been developed by mothers in the Luton area around themes of austerity, sisterhood, and survival with acclaimed writer Hafsah Aneela Bashir.

The performances will be followed by an open workshop on the piece and its themes where audience members will be invited to respond to the work showcased.



Presented as part of the opening weekend of The Hat Factory Arts Centre.
