Black Heritage and Culture Forum

Over the last two years towards The Culture Trust Luton have worked with a pilot group of individuals from the Black community to inform, plan and test programming ideas relating to Black Culture, which began with Black History Month 2022.

Informed by the learning from the last two years, we are delighted to provide a space to continue this work and discussions with the wider community to support and inform wider initiatives.

The agenda for this evening will discuss the following opportunities discussion:

  • Luton Matters: Public Artwork Commission inspired by Black Culture and Fashion
  • Factory Associates Programme
  • Wardown: Curate a Case Opportunities
  • Programming opportunities
  • Community activation within venues
  • Initiatives and events from community organisations or individuals
