Acid Jazz & Other Illicit Grooves exhibition presents: MF ROBOTS

Acid Jazz & Other Illicit Grooves exhibition presents: MF ROBOTS

Collaborating for the first time while recording and performing with one of the UK’s most commercially successful Acid Jazz bands The Brand New Heavies in 2013, founder / drummer Jan Kincaid and vocalist Dawn Joseph discovered immediate musical chemistry and began writing songs together right away.

They soon left the band to concentrate on their own work, starting MF Robots (Music For Robots) and releasing an eponymous debut in 2018.

The band have toured the world and were personally asked by Lenny Kravitz to support him on his last European Arena tour – The bands latest record ‘Break The Wall’ is out on BBE Records and including contributions from studio legends, Gail Ann Dorsey (David Bowie) and Cory Wong (Vulfpeck).

The DJ & Host for the evening will be DJ Perry Louis, an all-round talent with a diverse mix of experience in all things related to Jazz, Boogie and Funk Music.

MF ROBOTS will be supported by ENNÈ, who plays gutsy, hard-hitting slices of soulful pop, celebrating independence, ambition and self-belief. She is an award winning, international artist from the UK. Her expression has deep cultural ties to the traditions of Jazz, Funk, Soul & Reggae, with a hint of her classical training.

Doors open at 7pm, show starts at 7.30pm.

An AGMP presentation.
