Basement Live/s

Join us for live music gigs in the Hat Factory, presented by Luton Live/s.

It's been a while since the Luton Lives team brought some Metal to the basement of the Hat Factory, but they're putting that right this month with three bands who reflect the wide approach available in the genre.

Running Time: 3 hours. Bar opens at 7pm, doors to the auditorium opens at 7.30pm.

Line Up

Earthbound

A mix of melodic death metal and metalcore.  Earthbound’s music covers every facet of modern metal.  Earthbound have established a strain of melodic metal all of their own, perfectly blending traditional melodic death metal riffs with prodigious choruses.

Opensight

Metal innovators Opensight are notorious for infusing their intense and heavy music with the sense of adventure and intrigue of movie soundtracks. With a live show that has "the energy and confidence of a well-seasoned band… offering something worthy of a world touring band playing the bigger venues" (Moshville Times) and their last album "Mondo Fiction" gathering numerous 10/10 reviews, making the top albums of the year in publications like Powerplay Magazine, Worship Metal and Metalpedia while being referred to as "a fabulous album that will grow on you even more with repeated listens" (Powerplay) and a "A remarkable piece of cinematic entertainment" (MetalGods) Opensight will continue to deliver music that is both fun and truly unique.

Eternal Funeral

Debut show for this depressive suicidal Black Metal band.

Eternal Funeral was formed in 2020 at Luton, England by Nemesis Funera (vocal/guitar) as a form of therapy for his mental health struggles and experiences. Originally starting as a Funeral doom metal band Nemesis found a new appreciation for Black Metal which then inspired Nemesis to take the project in a whole different and darker route. In November 2022 Damadius Mourn (bass) and J.S Slaughter (drums) joined the band and the lineup was completed.
