Basement Live (April 1st)

Join us for live music gigs in the Hat Factory on the last Saturday of the month, presented by Luton Live/s.

This is no April Fool. This month the Luton Lives team bring us and Indie/Post-Britpop special featuring an established popular local band and two of the new breed of quality bands coming out of the Milton Keynes area.

  • Carbon Daydreams

A Bedfordshire based indie rock/pop band. Taking inspiration from 80s and 90s indie and alternative rock to write their own brand of catchy, high tempo songs. Expect guitar melodies unashamedly influenced by Johnny Marr and intricate, unexpected bass lines, which create the context for compelling lyrics, and disco-inspired rhythms. During 2022 and 2023 the band have been cementing their presence on their local live scene. In April 2022, they released Runaway, which attracted widespread radio play - both locally and nationally. Follow-up single Good Life Bad Life was released on in July 2022.
