Basement Live: Pijn

Join us for live music gigs in the Hat Factory on the last Saturday of the month, presented by Luton Live/s.

Video - Denial/Detach

The Manchester-based collective Pijn can be considered more of a collective than a strictly regimented band. One that is able to shift and adapt, whether they appear as a guitar, bass and drums trio or with the addition of strings and lap guitar. Pijn are not a band that settle easily, pushing boundaries of genre, instrumental setup and sonic diversity. The result is a band that creates post-rock and post-metal masterpieces by marching to the beat of its own drum.

Support by Lapyear & Sleemo

Lapyear are an alternative emo band from Stevenage, Hertfordshire. Since forming in 2016, the band have released music through Venn Records (Gallows, Bob Vylan, High Vis), the latest being 2020’s “Smile”. After a short break, the band will be showcasing new material at select shows in 2023, while finishing work on their self produced debut album.

Running time: 3 hours. Bar opens at 7pm, doors to the auditorium opens at 7.30pm.
