The Town That Banned Boys

'Man up and get on with it’

Masculinity is in crisis, crime is on the rise and social disturbance is rife. One town thinks they have the answer to these problems. Ban Boys. All men between the ages of 16-30 will be removed from the town for the good of the people. Fathers, Sons, Brothers, rich, poor, good or bad. All of them are banned. How will they and the town they are leaving cope?

Novus bring you The Town That Banned Boys, a semi-verbatim piece created using the tale, stories, feelings and thoughts of men and boys across Bedfordshire. Their words have shaped the work and give a glimpse into what it feels like to be a man in 2019.
