Health & Well-being

Please note: Our Health and Well-being service will be closed from Friday 20th December 2019, and will resume on Monday 6th January 2020.

The Culture Trust recognises the benefits of accessing arts, culture and heritage to everyone’s Health and Wellbeing.   There are a number of ways you can access resources, programmes and services that can enable you to support you own and other’s wellbeing and health.

All of our libraries (and Chaul End Library Access Point) have Health Information Points, where you can find information and guidance on a number of health related issues and conditions. If you’re not sure where to look just ask a member of staff or contact us at

Reading Well resources cover the following subjects:

  • Books on Prescription
  • Books on prescription for Dementia
  • Shelf Help for young people
  • Reading Well for Long Term Health Conditions
  • Mood Boosting Books

Our artistic programmes encompass a wide range of subjects in Health and Wellbeing including mental health and wellness, identity and a celebration of who we are.

The memory box scheme is a wonderful free resource to support both individuals and practitioners with varied themes to stimulate discussions and memory recall.
