Figure Sculpture in a Day
*CANCELLED* Join in our HATCH workshops with established artists to learn new skills, creative techniques, and make your own art.
Learn how to make beautiful sculptures for indoor or outdoor display using everyday materials & recycled textiles.
During the course, you will create a Figure Sculpture approx. 450mm tall. Each Figure will be unique, with your choice of head style (supplied), textile selection & colour.
We will be setting the textiles using Powertex, a non-toxic, water-based, environmentally friendly fabric hardener & finishing with a wide choice of powder pigments & varnish to add colour.
This course is perfect for beginners or improvers & will introduce you to this fabulous craft medium with so many possibilities!
Please note: Whilst this workshop is designed for 16+, under 16’s may be able to attend if accompanied by an adult – please check with venue/tutor before booking.
Whilst gloves & aprons are supplied, we request that students attending:
- Wear old clothes
- Tie back long hair
- Remove jewellery, especially rings & bracelets
