A British Hat Guild 'Panel Discussion' HATS: Innovation & Creation

To complement the HATS: Innovation and Creation exhibition at the Culture Trust’s Hat Works, we are offering an exciting film screening and panel discussion on 5 October.

Internationally-renowned milliner Stephen Jones OBE, award-winning fashion milliner Rafa Peinador and Europe’s only pre-industrial felting technique hatter Rachel Frost come together for this panel discussion on ‘Innovation’ - the spark that encourages ideas, launches new processes, and designs for today, tomorrow and the future.

Introduced by ‘making videos’ of the exhibition’s milliners, the discussion will explore innovation as a vital part of the design process. As the panellists share their insights, the audience will get a deeper understanding of the creative processes involved in marrying design and innovation with materials old and new.

This is your opportunity to ask some of the most influential and innovative milliners about their work. They will discuss their pieces within the exhibition and their constant innovation to produce such impressive work.

A must attend event for anyone passionate about fashion and the artistry and craft of millinery. The discussion will offer valuable insights into the ways that headwear can contribute to and impact future fashion and design.
