A new chapter for Luton Libraries
Delivering libraries on behalf of Luton Borough Council has been a privilege and whilst our contract ended this March, our continued passion for cultural engagement in Libraries, literature development, reading, writing and researching shall remain within our core.
We are proud of what we have achieved including a refurbishment to the Central Library Children’s Library and Leagrave Library, setting up Library Access Points in community centres at Chaul End, Farley and Hockwell Ring, and one of the best used digital online services in the UK. We joined the London Library Consortium in 2017 to help our customers gain access to millions of books and e-books to better match the diverse community needs of Luton. We have also raised funds to enhance what libraries have to offer and we have created a legacy of bringing library spaces to life with activities and performances for children and families. Thank you to everyone that made all this possible!
We wish the libraries team all the best for the next chapter in their journey, as we pass this treasured community resource to the care of Active Luton.
